Learning to understand Mates

She looked at him "You make me feel special and like Im the only one that matters." she said

He rubbed her cheek and smiled. "You are." He glanced at Vlad. "And not just to me." He muttered.


Cat wiped her mouth after taking down the murderer and moved the body to burn it in a dumpster.

She gave him a look "What do you mean not just you?"

Tyler watched then looked at Vlad "Why are you so attracted so to speak to her?"

Alex sighed. "Vlad feels the pull too." He whispered.

Vlad sighed. "I'm not sure. Is Cat okay?"

She looked at him than Vlad "Seriously?" she asked

"She is alright for now."

Alex nodded. "Your cousin isn't happy about it though." He said with a sigh. "And her only reason is that she doesn't want you to have to deal with two moody mates."


Vlad nodded slightly. "So you share with a wolf. How do you handle it?"

"Cat has always been protective of me." she said "And just to let you know Vlad really isnt my type." she said

"Same way your going to if you get the chance. One day at a time."

"He may be a bit of an ass." Alex said. "But he is a decent vampire.'


Vlad looked at Tyler. "How can you handle the need to be possessive?"

"Better term he is a dick."

"That part isnt easy, but you can learn how to control it."

Alex laughed. "It's because he has never had a constant female presence in his life except your sister."


Vlad grumbled. "I don't like to share."

She smiled like hearing him laugh

"Well if you pull on her he is has already made a connection to her your going to have to learn to share."

Alex grinned at her. "So can I get you anything."


Vlad grumbled as Cat came in and grabbed his ear then pulled him towards Alex grabbing his ear and dragging them to the table.

Tyler looked and followed

Allie watched not really like being lefted alone

She pushed them both down and growled at them to stay put then went to Allie and put her arm around her waist pulling her towards the table. "Please sit Allie." She gave her a smile then glared at the boys.

Allie sat down "Okay your really weirding me out."

Cat stared down at the two men. "Speak."

Vlad took a breath. "I want permission to court Allie as my mate."

"The same request comes from me." Alex said looking at her.

"Why should I allow it?" She snapped at them.

"You won't find better protection for her." Vlad said.

Alex groaned. "You just had to insult her protection." Alex muttered.

Cat glared more at Vlad. "So you are saying I'm not doing an adequate job? Are you saying in front of my mates that I'm in adequate at protecting my cousin?"

Tyler watched him

Ian was growling low

Allie backed up alittle

Vlad gulped.

Cat sighed and looked at Allie. "Do you wish to date these two?"

"I dont know."

Cat looked at the two. "As of right now your request is denied until Allie comes to me and tells me otherwise. Now I believe Vlad Ian wants a word with you."

Alex chuckled. "Your a chew toy now blood sucker."

"Shut it mutt." Vlad hissed.

Allie got up "As of right now my decision is no to either of you. Im not going to go through what Cat goes through. Im not going to listen to you two bicker back and forth about mutt this or blood sucker that. Until you can repesct each other just stay away." she said walking towards the bathroom

Tyler smirked "Boy she has her father's temper."

Ian was glaring at Vlad

Cat nodded and followed Allie.

Vlad sighed and looked at Ian. "What?"

Alex looked at Tyler. "How can I fix this?"

"Do you think that your so much better than Cat, Tyler or myself when it comes to protecting her?"

"I dont know. Maybe you two should actually start getting along with each other."

Vlad gulped.

Alex took a breath. "I can try."

Cat sat on the counter by the sink waiting for Allie to finish.

"Answer me." he snapped

He nodded "That is the best way."

Allie finished and walked out washing her hands
